Bukan latihan, tapi beneran kebakaran

Tiba-tiba listrik padam di kantor, sejurus kemudian ada suara ribut diluar. Ternyata berjarak 3 rumah sebelah kanan kantorku ada asap membubung pada lantai atas. Beberapa orang sibuk menyemprotkan tabung pemadam kebakaran, bahkan beberapa orang yang berada di atap menggulingkan torn air kapasitas 500 liter. Asap terus membubung, beberapa security staff sibuk berlarian, para pekerja di komplek tersebut berhamburan keluar untuk melihat dari dekat asal asap tersebut.

Beberapa saat kemudian, sirene meraung-raung terdengar di jalanan yang ternyata mobil pemadam kebakaran yang kemudian merapat di sekitar lokasi. Tidak kurang dari 6 mobil pemadam kebakaran datang ditambah sebuah ambulans 118 dan beberapa polisi serta tentara. Suasana kelihatan tegang, tapi ini bulan latihan. Kebakaran memang terjadi akibat hubungan pendek arus listrik di kantor tersebut.

Tidak begitu lama, asap benar-benar sudah hilang. Kami semua tidak melihat adanya api, yang kami lihat hanyalah kepulan asap hitam yang kemudian berubah menjadi putih dan akhirnya hilang sama sekali. Namun, kesigapan aparat dapat diacungi jempol.
